I remember it like it was yesterday. The Maleah Davis story would appear on the news and every time it did Donoven would stop whatever he was doing and watch it to see the updates about the story. When they announced that they would be doing a bubble release on Mother's day, Donoven insisted that we go and participate in it. Once we got there they asked if anyone wanted to speak on behalf of the family of Maleah and Donoven took the mic. He wanted to speak for all the children there saying "If someone is bothering you, say something, the adults will help you don't be afraid." He walked in the front among the march to where Maleah was last seen, and he stood with the family to offer his support. It was such a wonderful thing to see and hear coming from someone his age.
